Here the sync signal is the start point of one Optical track rail, it is channel code itself, and it needs not to be converted into EFM mode. So the total length of different data is 3234 bytes, of which the user data is 2352 bytes.
The Yellow Book defines the format of data CD. Its format is on the basis of that defined in red book in which user data takes 2352 byte as the total length of the data in the sector.
