Resize partition in Windows 8

Before resizing partition in Windows 8, we need to visit its official website http://www.partitionwizard.com to download MiniTool Partition Wizard and then install it. After that, launch MiniTool Partition Wizard.

After launching the partition manager, we can see partition distribution condition and a lot of partition management functions are shown in this interface. Now select the partition that will be resized and click "Move/Resize" button. The resizing interface will be shown.

We can see from this interface that MiniTool Partition Wizard is different with system's built-in disk management tool in shrinking partition. As well known, the latter only can shrink partition forward. But MiniTool Partition Wizard is more comprehensive. We can also shrink partition from the two ends, as follows.

Here, we drag the left triangle rightward to shrink partition backward. Then click "OK" to go back to the main interface.

After going back to the main interface, we can see the selected partition has been shrunk and an unallocated space appears in front of it. But this is a preview effect. We need to click "Apply" to perform the operation, finishing resizing partition in Windows 8 in a real sense.
