How to extend volume with the built-in disk management tool in Windows 8

Don't want to extend system partition with the third-party partition magic? In fact, the built-in disk management tool in Windows 8 is greatly promoted, enabling users to extend system partition. Here is the demo of its operations.

In the Computer Management of Windows 8, you will see this interface.


Some basic disk information is displayed here. Choose the disk system partition and right click to choose "Extend Volume" on pop-up menu.


This welcome interface tells you that you can extend a volume by adding space for one or more additional disks. Click "Next>".


On this interface, choose the available space on the right list-box and then input desired space in "Select the amount of space in MB" textbox. Click "Next>" to turn to next interface.


Here, click "Finish" to complete all operations.



n this interface, you can see information after the system partition is extended.

Although you extend system partition with the Windows 8 built-in disk management tool, but the operations are relatively complicated and you can't preview the effect.
